Ingredients
- Whole Wheat Bread
- 500g Whole wheat flour
- 350g Water
- 10g Salt
- 35g Sugar
- 30g Oil or Butter
- 15g Malt Powder
- 1.25 tsp Yeast
White Bread- 500g Wheat flour
- 300g Water
- 10g Salt
- 35g Sugar
- 30g Oil or Butter
- 15g Malt Powder
- 1 tsp Yeast
Method
- First add the water, then the Salt, Sugar, oil to bread machine. Then add Flour, Malt, and finally the Yeast.
- Set your bread machine to the dough setting to combine the ingredients. Bake in the bread machine to preferred setting, or in the oven.
- Optional. For Whole wheat bread I like to substitute 100g whole wheat flour with white flour. This provides additional gluten to give a good crumb.
- Optional. If you want to try adding other flours, such as buckwheat or spelt, don’t exceed any more than 20% of the “flour”. That means don’t substitute more than 100g of the flour with non-wheat flour.
