Central Park is a great place to visit with a toddler. There are many things to see and do, and the park is large enough that you can easily spend a whole day exploring. Here are some ideas for activities to do with your toddler in Central Park: Visit the Central Park Zoo. The zoo is home to over 1,000 animals, including lions, tigers, bears, and penguins. There is also a petting zoo for toddlers. Take a ride on the Central Park Carousel. The carousel is a classic New York City experience, and it’s sure to be a hit with your toddler. Budget Parenting- When & Where to buy Kids Stuff?

This is an example shopping timeline for a child born in Oct. For example, assuming all previous clothings have been acquired before birth, in Nov of his/her birth year, parents should be shopping for Size 18-24 months during Black Friday Sales. Move the Month Bar on the chart to suit your child’s birth month. Kids grow so fast! Their need for new clothes and stuff is relentless. Although it is fun to shop for cute children’s clothes, it can get pretty expensive very quickly. After three years of experimenting, we have come to a shopping pattern that has saved us a fair bit of money. (See the Example Shopping Timeline…

    Vancouver, BC

Devonian Harbour Park After the warm blue days on Vancouver Island, and at Sea-to-Sky, our lucky streak in the weather continued to our stay in Vancouver. For a change of scenery from the usual built up cities, we decided to stay in the suburbs, near Lougheed Town Centre. The Skytrain is convenient and provided access to a number of areas, such as Downtown, Airport, Richmond and, Port Moody. Plus accommodation is expensive downtown. Downtown Vancouver mostly follows a grid system, and I was surprised at just how temperate the climate was. I was expecting a colder appearance more reminiscent of snowy cities such as New York or Sapporo. Popular areas…

    Belleayre, NY

Below Lift 7 at Overlook Lodge History The year is 1839 and Stephen Van Rensselaer III has died. Stephen was the landowner of Rensselaeswyck and collected rents in a very lenient fashion allowing rents to be in arrears when tenets were unable to pay in full. When the Van Rensselaer heirs went to collect the outstanding rents, causing a revolt that lasted until 1845. Belleayre in the Catskills was once such location where the Rent Wars occurred. Fast-forward to 2018 and I’m here to go snowboarding with some buddies. Belleayre is a smaller resort owned by New York State. Since it doesn’t have a big name it’s not very crowded…

    Steamboat, CO

Valley Below The middle of winter, the best time to go to the snow. For one week in February 2017, suddenly, it wasn’t the best time to be in Colorado, unless you wanted to work on your tan. With the highs up into the 20s C (70s F), the snow is going to suffer. While my timing was unlucky, Steamboat was still a fun mountain to ride, especially with my experience riding the east coast ice pack. Steamboat has some elevation to help keep the snow closer to the optimal temperatures near the summit of 2,050 m (6,732 ft). Steamboat Ski Resort is easily accessible from Denver airport, I took…

    Toronto, ON

Toronto Previously known as York, Toronto received it’s current name in 1834. We came to Toronto to catch up with friends, as well as to make our way to Niagara Falls. Toronto is a big sprawling city in need of better public transportation infrastructure. With the baby’s stroller we walked to all the sights, no not to Niagara. We probably could have caught a bus to get around, but didn’t want to waste time trying to sort out the routes and payments. The airport is a whole level of weird. If you can’t clear immigration via the automated computer, due to a weird visa or something, then it’s always slow.…
